Story Behind The Song

I wrote the song about 3 years after the Cove Hotel was burned down, and soon we began to use the name, "The Cove Hotel Band". We've been playing under that name since 1976. Another fine example of "improvement".

song about the most famous landmark in Panama City in the Cove area, where the Duke and Dutchess of Windsor and people like Clark Gable, used to stay while in town.
